Meet Chris
Chris loves her family and community and is a life-long resident of Dublin. She’s a small business owner of a Horticultural Consulting firm in Dublin. She served for nearly 8 years on the City of Dublin Planning and Zoning Commission, including 6 years as the Commission Chair and two terms as a member of City Council. Chris is a 1989 graduate of Dublin High School and a 1993 Graduate of The Ohio State University, where she studied Agriculture and Agricultural Business. Her free time is spent working in her garden, traveling, golfing and enjoying time with friends and family.
Chris is a life-long Dublin resident and owner of Amorose Landscape Service. She served as mayor from 2020 to 2022 after having served a two-year term as vice mayor. Prior to her election to City Council, Amorose Groomes served eight years on the Dublin Planning and Zoning Commission – six of those as chair. In January 2022, she was named by the National League of Cities to serve on the Information Technology and Communications Federal Advocacy Committee. She previously served on the NLC’s Community and Economic Development Committee. As a committee member, she plays a key role among a diverse group of local leaders in shaping NLC policy positions and advocating on behalf of America’s cities and towns before Congress.

Chris also serves as vice chair for the Mid-Ohio Regional Planning Commission Executive Committee, and as an at-large member of the Central Ohio Mayors & Managers Association Board of Directors. In 2021, she was appointed to serve on the Ohio Mayors Education Advocacy Committee for the Ohio Mayors Alliance. Her devotion to public service has included volunteering on the board of directors for Young Life Metro Columbus, coaching girls’ basketball, serving as a Big Sister with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Ohio and planting flowers for the Memorial Tournament benefiting Nationwide Children’s Hospital.
In 2022, she was inducted into the Dublin City Schools Hall of Fame and, in 2019, she was honored as a Friend of Public Education by the Ohio School Boards Association Central Region for her demonstrated record of supporting public education. and husband KevinKevin is an amazing Husband and Dad! He loves his family and loves sports, having coached his boys in almost every sport they have played. A Columbus native, Kevin grew up in Sharon Woods and attended DeSales High School. He played football at John Carrol University, then transferred to Capitol University, graduating with a degree in Accounting. As a licensed CPA, Kevin currently works in Dublin as a Vice President of Financial Operations. He and Chris have been married for nearly 22 fast-paced years.

TylerTyler is the “Old Soul” of the Groomes family. He’s a Junior at The Ohio State University and plays on the OSU Golf Team. He likes fly fishing, but he’s good with anything on the water. His favorite sport is golf, although he enjoys basketball and nearly any other competition he can find. In the warmer months Tyler keeps busy mowing lawns in our neighborhood. He is a finance major and is pursuing a career in banking.

TuckerTucker is an extravert – he’s never met a stranger. A Freshman at The Ohio State University, Tucker too enjoys fishing, something he and his brother love to do together. He’s kind and sensitive and takes joy in life. He is pursuing a career in Engineering and can always be found building something with legos or any small motor he can find.
